In anticipation of my first MashStix review since joining the site, I was hoping for at least a quality first mix to critique, and like your other mixes, this did not disapoint. Perfectly on beat and the pitch sounds good, except for one or two little parts when she stretches for a high note where it may not have been 100% perfect. Overall, very solid...you obviously know what your doing.
Cons:
One thing that bothered me a little was the fact that the back beat was pretty plain until around the 2 minute mark. While this is perfectly fine for an A + B mashup, I was hoping for maybe a little more early on. Something like this could cause the average listener to hit next. This was still better than most GaGa "Bad Romance" mixes I've heard!
Tips:
Your obviously rock solid on the basics, so maybe a little more creativity for this one, especially since you chose a heavily remixed song. I look forward to hearing more from you!

Looks like Paul is giving me all the good tunes to review now, after I quoted the Geneva Convention earlier in the week.
A perfectly producted multi 'pella d'nace mash, everything in the mix compliments everything else. I've got a soft spot for I Like to Move It by Reel 2 Reel, as it was the first song I was asked to officially remix back in the day, so I'll forgive you putting a house vocal over a house 'mental (and as there's is an 18 yr age difference between these tracks). This is g4gggggreat!
Cons:
personally I'd have filtered Nelly's vocal over the first couple of bars, rather than having it quieter, but I'm nit picking. nowt' wrong this, it's a booty bobby dazzla.
Tips:
Equality now! Voting rights for cats!

Let's see...two hits from two different genres mixed together with a laid-back late summer vibe, an appropriate title (in the Northern Hemisphere), and the G4gorilla production touch. What could possibly go wrong?
Cons:
Though not out of key in an obvious way, the two chord progressions don't match. "Dance Floor Anthem" has surprisingly unusual changes and harmonies whereas "I'm Yours" is basically the same four chords used in 1000s of other songs. This leads to a weird-sounding
mash-up, especially during the refrains, where there are several "off" notes. The problem is similar to a major/minor clash - subtle to some people, jarring to a trained ear.
Tips:
It's a bit ironic that out of the myriads of 'pellas that would have worked over the clichéd Mraz 'mental, you had to go and pick one that doesn't. ;-P I'm sure you had an inkling something was amiss whilst putting this together.

Considering I dont really like either of the sources I must admit the combination of those feels like " bad plus bad equals good". You made me like it. Harmonies play along pretty well in this. BUT...
Cons:
I have to agree with the gybo peeps on the vocal distortion tho. Try to fix this and it will be better..BUT... for gods sake - lose the whatever it is at the end (i think it's the tv theme to some ufo series?) - its T E R R I B L E! Besides being totally out of key it messes up the smooth feel of the whole track. Almost made my ears come off...hehe

Pop, Rock and just a little bit Punk, this is one of those mash-ups that has me enjoying a combination of things I'd normally avoid like the plague (AL & FOB) The matched melodies are simply too infectious, once again demonstrating the interchangeability of modern mainstream pop. I love the cover art and wish you'd included some Sarah Palin samples in the mix. ;) Overall, this is quite a fun (and funny!) composition.
Cons:
The master sounds a tad over-compressed and distorted and the RHCP bits still sound a bit out-of-place to me.
Tips:
When working with over-compressed sources, which most pop is, I find it's better to avoid compression in the master and focus on limiting.

This is a decent and driving dance mash of that ubiquitous and inane BEP hit. It's got a good flow and the rhythms are a nice match. The brief snippet of Ya Kid K. is my favorite part. I'd stop short of calling this mash-up "magic" though:
Cons:
The songs are in the same key, but sometimes sound a bit off interval-wise e.g. after 1:30. Harmonically, there have been better, i.e. less annoying "Boom Boom" mash-ups. But BEP in any mash is almost always annoying.
Tips:
Listening to this and some of your other tunes, I think you may want to give more attention to harmonic detail e.g. not just key, but chord progression matching.

This COULD be a nice track to fill the dancefloors, BUT...
Cons:
The timing is incorrect - Nelly comes in half a bar early (you let her start sing on the 4 but she's not supposed to start til the 2+ on the next bar). The Nelly vox is pretty hard to work with as it always starts on the off beat (I know cause I've been there myself). If you did it on purpose - bad idea, it doesn't work. Also the whole tune lacks of structure to my ears. First you have Nelly, then 50 Cent, the Flo and then Nelly again? Its not about how many sources you can fit in a tune, but more about HOW you fit em in.
Tips:
Fix the timing problem, add some structure to it and it just might work! ;-)

G4Gorilla, as well as Winkar Lopez could easily be classed as the best newcomers to the mashup scene. His mashup style has won wide acclaim. This mash is what I have come to expect from him. A nice fresh take on an Eagle’s classic.
Cons:
None. This is a very well produced mash. It won’t do as well as your others because its chilled out. But it’s still brilliant.
Tips:
Get a better ISP (He has had trouble) – We need more G4Gorilla tracks.

This fits like a glove, has excellent pairing and excellent production. The Salt n Pepa part in between gives a nice breather to the song. An instant classic as far as I'm concerned.

Well spotted match! Best idea in a while!!! Really love this one - but...
Cons:
The time stretching you did here really sucks. Dunno what software you used but the result really spoils it for me. The pella quality is not the best either and this combination of bad stretching and pella quality stops this one from being a real killer track!
Tips:
Try the Elastique Pro Algorithm that the new sony acid pro 7 has - I even pitched pella -50 bpm and it's still smooth as hell....
*Note From Paul Stix: Michael, I have to agree with Clive, If you fix the time stretch, u got yourself a SOTW for sure. Please tweak it cause this is going to be big!

The sources used fits very well together. I really like this one. You keep getting better and better.
Cons:
Most of the Madonna-pella can be heard in the left speaker. It annoys me a bit that it isn't centered. Turn down the delay effect a bit too.
Tips:
I have no tips to "4 Minutes Renegades" mashup. But I heard your Metro Station vs Killers vs Rihanna vs Backstreet Boys boot experiment. I like the use of The Killers acapella "When You Were Young" the best. Go with that one!!!!!

I had serious doubts about this until the second I started playing it... you know why? This is friggen brilliant. You have found a very suprising and amazing match and it's even one that I keep playing on full volume on the train so others can hear it outta my headphones too! It's a great funky mix and any mash fan that likes to dance will definately be playing this one when they get people on the dancefloor.
Cons:
The only con I could possibly give you (if I scraped bottom of the barrel trying to find one) is that maybe a second alternate version could be created with Metro mixed in too.
Tips:
Keep finding cool and unexpected matches like this and you will gain yourself a pretty great following. Just make sure the keys always match and the styles are this funky!

Very good mashup! I enjoyed this one very much. Keywise, it's almost perfect and the Ian Carey tune adds a lot of momentum to Jacko's vocals.
Cons:
It's a bit repetitive at times and MJ's voice gets drowned by the backing track in the loudest parts.
Tips:
You might consider equalizing out some of the midtones in the Ian Carey tune to let Mike's vocals breathe a bit. You could also try slipping some of the 'Beat It' guitar riff in there to make the mix more interesting.
