I've had to ignore my fair share of first submissions where the producer couldn't be bothered to follow the instructions, so you get instant points for that.

I was this close to recommending this mashup, but then I did some detective work. It sounds like you've used two original tracks instead of using individual elements from both. On top of that, their keys clash.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I did use original versions of the songs as I did not know that would matter. The reason I joined this forum was to improve and learn more about keys and mashing stuff together properly. I've looked into it and created a new version. What do think?

I might comment when I get home, but for now, I suggest that you update your first post with the new version of your mashup like Ryson does here. That way, other forum members won't miss it. :1smiley:

It sounds like you solved the harmonic situation, but I still can't get past the use of two original tracks instead of separate elements of each.

Part of the definition of a mashup is blending vocals from one song with the instrumental from another one. You'll sometimes run into multi-mashups, but at their core, they follow that same principle

If you want to develop your mashup production skills, you can start by listening to any Frontpaged mashup.
