Hey guys. Long time, no see.

Did this one over a year ago as part of a mixtape, but thought I would release it as a standalone mashup now with the recent news of Whitney's passing. Hope you all enjoy. R.I.P. Whitney Houston.

a very sad time indeed. love your take on what was staple diet "getting bums off seats" for weddings etc in my younger djing days, some 25ish years ago.what a waste.

very nice mashup. yes very sad that such a bright voice gave into some very bad decisions that ultimately ruined her career and her life :( I remember going to her concert about 20 years ago and love listening to her live because of her beautiful voice.

Hey BgM, I agree with everything that's been posted here so far. Very sad stuff and a complete waste of talent, but it's good that people remember her when her star shone bright, with mashups like these.

The one thing I wanted to say was 'bravo' for handling the key change! That was a great bit of work right there! Really lifted the tune to the next level.

Personally for my tastes, I'm not a huge fan of pop/pop mashes, as they tend to get a little repetitive, but as a pop/pop mash this really works and is a great tribute, so thanks for sharing.

Cheers

Sorry to bump, but just seeing this now and wanted to say thanks for the feedback.

Yes, the key change was a little sneaky, but it was pretty easy to handle in my opinion.

I can sympathize with how you feel about pop/pop mashes (or any genre matching mashups for that matter). However, this was originally part of a mixtape where I mashed retro vocals with modern tracks, so I was viewing it from that perspective when I originally made it.

Anyways, thanks again for the feedback. You can let this thread die now
