(FP) ZooKreeper - Cut to Africa (Carly Rae Jepsen vs Toto)

ZooKreeper - Cut to Africa (Carly Rae Jepsen vs Toto)
Carly Rae Jepsen - Cut to the Feeling
Toto - Africa Acapella
Africa is one of my favorite songs of all time and holds a special place in my heart, since I spent three years as a zookeeper caring for African hoofstock (mostly giraffe; thus the name and avatar!). Thankfully it's in the same key as another of my favorite songs by CRJ

Welcome to Mashstix, ZooKreeper!
Having you been doing this a while? This track sounds great! Only thing I could complain about it was that there wasn’t enough Toto!
Great work!

Thank you very much! I only started making mashups a few days ago but I’d been thinking about trying it for a while. Thankfully I’m pretty musically inclined so it seems to be going well

Welcome to Mashstix, ZooKeeper
Very fun combination
I agree with that, I really wanted to hear more from Toto, or at least hear his vocals solely (at times) in the chorus.
I guess you used the original track of Carly Rae Jepsen, am I right? If so and just as a suggestion, you can try to switch to the official instrumental found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OI3w2ZrMKvU (maybe only in the chorus, depends on where you want to use Toto's vocals), just to give Toto a bit of more presence in your track, what do you think?
Anyway, if you are going to try it, just make a copy of your original project, just in case it will not work well.
Overall, I like what you did, and I can't deny, it's still a mashup

Very fun combination

I did, yes haha. I’m still very new to this but I’m figuring out how to do more complicated things so I’ll give this one another go! Thank you

Version 2 is up
Removed some of CRJ's vocals as suggested and raised the volume on the remaining ones a bit since they sounded like they were getting drowned out a little on repeated listening.

You fixed it!
A couple of years ago there was a poll on a Norwegian radio station..
Vote for the top 1000 all time best pop song, Toto-Africa won ?
I did not agreed of course, maybe i just got tired of it?
However now that you fixed it, i can listen to your version instead
A great mashup ZooKreeper much appreciated!
