Smashup II - The Results.

OK, here we go ......

Before we start I want to mention a few things.

The results (which I will be posting below) are the findings of three judges. All of which are seasoned veterans of the mashup scene. It's important to remember that they were looking for certain criteria. Paul and I had nothing what so ever to do with the judges, literally letting them decide who goes were on their own.

I also wanted to mention a few tracks/producers that I personally liked. First up ElectroSounds consistent quality was great. In these days of the mashup scene being so large, we often miss great producers, and I'm really happy you entered.

It was also great to see Ryan Nellis and DJ Bahler get into the final. They are two of our newest frontpage moderators and I like to think that Paul and I recognised your talent long before this competition.

Bynar, in my eyes, you are possibly the best mashup producer there is. I know your a busy guy right now, so to hear the quality coming out of your 'camp' was astounding.

Lastly, our newcomers .... the likes of DJ Darkz (who didn't qualify for the final), DJ Darth, Top Flight, and The Funk Junkie. I hoped we would see some fresh blood get into the final, but didn't hold my breath. You really held your own with your tracks throughout the comp.

I want to thank everyone who entered, along with our outstanding sponsors, and the judges. I want to give a special thanks to Dave 'One Love' Comstock, who more than helped me set this up.

Last thing I want to say is, this will be the last competition I organise I have major work commitments now, and when all is said and done I want to bloody enter ha. Other people will be stepping in to take my role, so the comps will continue !

Very last thing ...... Thanks to Paul and his dedication to the mashup scene. Your a true good guy, and without you .... I'm not sure the mashup scene would be what it is.

Oh, I forgot ..... The judges notes will be published tomorrow. These will detail the findings for every track (I didn't save the copy they sent me ha).

NB: I will only be posting the points for each of the prize positions.

IN 13th Position we have ..... TOPFLIGHT
IN 12th Position we have ..... DJ DARTH
IN 9th Position we have ..... PELLAGUY
IN 9th Position we have ..... DJ BAHLER

Congrats, guys. Some of those names were higher up on my list, but whatareyagonnado.

Edit: im at work right now...my numbers are now officially in the toliet because of waiting. Ha.

7th ........ BYNAR

(three places tied for 9th with the same points).

Actually I've just noticed that .... Ryan, Bahler, & Pellaguy are all tied in 9th Position on the same amount of points.

So technically...we all got 9th?

Well..I guess you could say we're all tied for 6th place. Depending on how you look at it.

Oh well. I didn't reach my personal goal, but not too bad for my first tourny! I'll take it. And congrats to my fellow 9th placers!
