Originally intended to be released as a special edition of my first mashup album "Strictly S.I.R.", the publishing of this album has been preponed due to the 5th Monrose fanclub meeting where copies of "Strictly S.I.R. - Monrose Edition" were given to the three Monrose ladies. It contains every single Monrose mashup I've ever made up to today, including it's promotional single "Strictly Physical (At the Circus)", which has been released two weeks earlier, the #1 radio songs "What you don't know (I Apologize)" and "Apologize (What you don't know)" as well as several unreleased tracks.

Hi Bud,

Great album here..... excellent production and lots of nice vocals.

I've stuck this in the rotation in the stix promo box on the front page.

Good job and welcome to Mashstix!

Wow, that's so cool :) thank you very much!

Two of the three band members have also commented on several tracks ... you can find their thoughts on my blog entry as well.

They didn't close the account, but they were so nice to delete every single video lol

So now most of my videos can be found on http://www.dailymotion.com/SIRremixes . The ones that got blocked there are on MySpace Video while the two which got blocked on both sites are available on my new YouTube channel ( http://www.youtube.com/SIRremixes2 ) lol complicated? :D

P.S.: Unfortunately, like half of the videos got blocked on YouTube interestingly ~.~

its odd that vimeo deleted the videos they tend to be fairly ok with mashups, although i did get one removed by them when they got a DCMA take down notice, mind you it was a gaga vid and i was taking the piss out of her in it  (it was for the APC lady gaga video challenge, mine being the only entry) but i still have all my vids at vimeo, 75 of them currently, which is more than i've still got on youtube

Probably tempting fate here but I havent lost anything.

I have maybe 40 videos on YT and maybe 10 on Vimeo. I've had the usual copyright claim, but thats about it.

As my subscriber list grows on YT, I would hate to lose the account. Perhaps I should open a back up account and get people to double subscribe - any thoughts ?

i have another account i try all my vids on first but keeping them private, any that get tagged immediatly for copyright dont end up on my normal account. that doesnt stop em getting flagged tho sometimes it takes a month or so before YT stick some copyright on em or as has happend to a few just delete them, but those were mostly with their spat with warners, which is still going on and some are just banned in some countries, germany mostly for some reason?.

there is a thing somewhere in your account details at YT about how your account stands, if it says good dont worry. i should point out if you put the names of the bands in the main song title on any video site you are more likely to have it deleted than if its just a song name as it sticks out more, but then it does also get more views, so its a double edge sword really, if thats the correct phrase to use

Lucky you^^

Back in January 2009, I had over 1000 subscribers when my account got deleted.

As for now, I hope they won't delete my account again as they seem to block the videos they don't want to have on their site from the beginning before they are even published.

I did that on MySpace Video and tried it on YouTube with a few videos as well (mostly tracks by Warner artists). If they will flag some videos in a month, will they delete the account then if there are too many? Remember, back when my account there got deleted, you got thrown off the site when two of your videos got deleted ...
I always post the artist name in the first place and then the song title^^

But I have to say that I really don't get their whole video system ... e.g. mashups that include John Legend's "Save Room" or Monrose's "Strictly Physical" (Warner) videos got blocked while my mashup of both tracks and its video with scenes from both of these videos is still viewable ... except for Germany, but that's a different case as music videos are usually blocked here because YouTube gut some issues with the GEMA ...

all the video sites i find strange in how they decide on whats ok and what isnt, youtube block a video but dailymotion don't and vice versa. when i made the video for morgoths nirvana / rick astley mashup, which he asked me to make by the way, youtube blocked it immediatly and so it just ended up on dailymotion, where it still is. morgoth tried YT as well and he got blocked. but then several months later thriftshop xl made a video for it, which apart from the colour matching is almost identical to mine and youtube say its ok and he suddenly gets over a million hits in a week. go figure!! as for vimeo, i'm still trying to work them out. they used to be good, then YT upped the game and YT vids are probably the best quality now and vimeo are having real problems with juddery videos. i'm starting to use viddler more and more now. they are going to start HD this year for all users and you can also download the original video if you have an account, which acts like a hosting site almost, plus the download speed is really fast.. and nobody wants to have to pay for video hosting. vimeo only lets people download the mp4 version and anyone can rip that from youtube, in fact if a video is HD at youtube you can rip a HD version with keepvid.

now talking of ripping videos that could lead me onto the subject of why dont people have downloads for the videos they make? lots of clubs play mashup videos now and they generally only play ones that have a download of the original file. i've had a ton of emails from VJ/DJ's thanking me for giving downloads of my vids, apparently i'm big in texas
i'd be interested to hear why more video mashers dont have downloads for their videos.

sorry to hijack your thread SIR
