Hifi Banjo Strings wrote:Don't get me wrong, I think it's great you're going back to basics, having fun, being groovy and all that, it's just sometimes a mash doesn't click with me.

I had another listen to figure out if I was just going insane, but I think it boils down to two reasons: 1, that stupid 'WUAH!' synth thing in the mental pisses me off and 2, John Fogerty has a certain.. way of singing. I love a bit of Creedence, but I've never heard a mashup using CCR vocals that I was totally satisfied with. It just sounds too much like an acapella playing over an instrumental.

By the way, I think the way you did the 'chorus' is very creative - the repeating of 'on the rise' and such.. cleverly disguises the fact that Bad Moon Rising doesn't really have a chorus to speak of..

And to the both of you, I've been doing Smart Price mashups since day one and I'm suing you for patent infringement. So there.

(yeah, we quits :P)

Fun mash, very great job - love your work Lee but my personal taste is the same as Oli on this one as those "WUAH WUAH" bits in the mental drive me insane as well. It's a personal taste thing so bang up job and it looks like many already love this so me and Oli will go sit in a corner and listen to some Depeche Mode ;) :)

Hey Bruce. That's cool mate, the WAUGH synth is part of the instrumental so I have no control over that. For my next project I'm gonna put that WAUGH sound over the entire DM Violator album! ;) :P :D

I really love this BASICS PROJECT! I am sure it is NOT a step backwards: It is an evolution, Lee! Go on, I am curious where it will bring us... Image

Bah... you've all ripped me off with my Woolworth's Bargain Bucket project which has been running for 5 years now....

Me personally? I love a good WAUGH. And I do love me a good Bad Moon Rising. So as things go, I'd pay 29p a tin for this.

Of course, now I have to rip Lee off and produce something really low-budget and moody, but being low-budget, watch out for one of my hairs in it....

There's only so much pick n' mix and best of Flanagan & Allen CDs a guy can sell! By the end I was giving me tracks away for free :(

And thanks to our esteemed leader Lloyd for the new GIF - he's the new Sammy!

I love your irony and your british humour, Mr. Colatron. Oh boy, there was a second in which I thought you really mean it...Image

There's only ONE (please google the meaning of "az igazi és egyetlen"!) Sammy! Image And it's not easy but it's good to be ME. Here are some manuals:

I'm curious about Mr. Lloyd's next projects and the future of Lloyd's Outfits Ltd. (LOL)... Image

Lee, Hungary loves your "Back To Basics" project and we are looking forward to hearing more like that! Image
