I expect all criticism to be 'brutally' honest guys... there's no point if it's not. If members can't accept your critique then maybe we're not the right forum for them. So don't hold back :1grin:

Righty-o then lloydy, if I have the support of the mods/admins then I'll happily do more critiquing, and of course more than happy to receive it in return - as you say, if I wasn't, this wouldn't be the place to post :1wink:

This discussion is getting interesting now. I've certainly been more active in commenting on tracks over the last few weeks, but I'm also guilty of mostly just replying to mashes that I like or that I at least see some potential in.

For me it's hard to give critical feedback because I often can spot what is in my opinion wrong with a mash, but don't really have the technical knowledge to offer any good advice on how to improve that. But maybe I should worry less about that and just do it. I guess that very often once people realise something is off, they can find a way to improve it themselves. At least that goes for me when I get constructive feedback

Good point. And please ask out loud how to fix stuff that you hear is wrong. I.e., "it seems like the key shifts in the bridge, can anyone advise him on how to fix that?" Not only is it constructive but it invites more commentary from the community. ;)
