I'm close to recommending this one.
The sources work well together but the mixing quality is harsh. Can you make things sound a little smoother?

For some reason the on-site player isn't working for your new version, but I downloaded it and I can hear the positive change in tightening up the mixing, good job.
Honestly, unlike satis5d, this one is tough for me to get situated in as far as cohesion between the sources. Seeing as how 50's vocals are slower and mellow, this shouldn't be an issue combined with the hippie style mellow alt-rock song, so not sure why it isn't sitting as well with me, or maybe it's just because I have that No Rain song and its original vocals cemented in my nostalgia memory. And the added drum parts are nice and exciting, but it almost feels like they're building to a higher energy in the song that never happens.
Nice work, though. No issues other than the song mixture doesn't feel my cup of tea.

It's ALL good, baby! For me a Bastard Pop number is a major crapshoot and it's comes down to personal preference. For me a Mashup is at the least a couple of bpms and keys that magically play together for a minute or at the most the cohererence of something greater than the sum of their parts.
Therein lies the elusiveness of the Mashup....

You did a remarkable job of bringing this one under control. I'm going to give this one my recommend.
Taste is a main reason why we have a bevy of moderators.

You could do us all a favor by moving the edits to the principal post and giving us a version 1, 2, etc. I also had some trouble with your mp3, had to download your song from dropbox and play it that way.
