(!)I Feel Like Being a Derezzed Machine-J Brown VS Daft Punk

I wanted to do a mashup with the TRON: Legacy soundtrack and James Brown seem to fit perfectly with the flow. Also will be featured on my upcoming mashup album, Mashup Metropolis Vol. 17.
James Brown- Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine( Acapella)
Daft Punk - Derezzed (from the movie TRON: Legacy)

It's nice and all but kind of repetitive, Maybe make James Brown's voice kind of vocoded to make his vocal blend into the instrumental a little better hah, Derezzed is originally a instrumental isn't it?

Yea it is originally an instrumental/film score.

Well put together and mixed. I do have to agree with RayMan though, about the repetitiveness of it overall. I think it's a case of an instrumental having one repeating part throughout combined with James' vocals also being mainly monotone based with little variety.
A lot of times a simple repeating part instrumental can work well and not feel too repetitive with a singer, as long as the vocals vary enough to let the listener not realize the repeating bar instrumental underneath. I think James just doesn't have much variety of singing to carry the instrumental in this way.
A solid execution here, but I (like RayMan) see a lot of potential and room to play with Brown's vocals, like with flashy effects and spacey sounds, considering the instrumental behind him. I did find that one point where his vocals shift in a vocoder-like way (0:41). Did you add that in after RayMan's mentioning it? Either way, it was cool, and this track would do great mixed into a live DJ set for dance clubs.

Actually i think it was already mixed like that. I didn't do any additional processing, so maybe it just blended well lol.

I didn't find it as repetitive and/or monotonous as some of the hip-hop maixes we see from time to time, and it's mixed well. I recommend.
