Lyrics in English:

[Verse 1]
It’s quite hot in the suburbs
Mum, don’t worry, I’m on my way home
You will be disappointed by a liar
It looked like love to you but it was something else
He drinks champagne during Ramadan
On the TV they are airing Jackie Chan
He smokes shisha, he asks me how I’m doing

[Pre-Chorus]
He asks me, "How are you doing?", "How are you doing?", "How are you doing?"
You already know how things are going, how things are going, how things are going
I think faster trying to figure out whether tomorrow you will fool me
I got no time to clear things up because only now I found out what you are
It's hard to be alive
When you lose your pride
You leave home out of the blue
You, tell me whether

[Chorus]
You only thought about money, money
As if I have had any money, money
Tell me whether you miss me or you don’t give a damn, give a damn
You used to ask me, "How are you doing?", "How are you doing?", "How are you doing?"
Now how things are going, how things are going, how things are going

[Verse 2]
You haven’t told yet what you had to tell
Betrayal is a bullet in the chest
Keep all your mercy to yourself
You keep lying at home but you know that she knows
On a chair, she’ll be asking me

[Pre-Chorus]
You ask me, "How are you doing?", "How are you doing?", "How are you doing?"
You already know how things are going, how things are going, how things are going
I think faster trying to figure out whether tomorrow you will fool me
I got no time to clear things up because only now I found out what you are
It's hard to be alive
When you lose your pride
I figured it out in one second
That you, from me

[Chorus]
You only wanted money, money
As if I have had any money, money
Before, you used to talk to me till late, late
You used to ask me, "How are you doing?", "How are you doing?", "How are you doing?"
Now how things are going, how things are going, how things are going

[Bridge]
"My son, my son, darling, come over here"
You used to tell me while playing, looking proud
"My son, my son, darling", it looked real
Your wish, your wish to bring things back to what they were

[Pre-Chorus]
I – from you – didn’t want any money
It's hard to be alive
When you lose your pride
You leave home out of the blue
You, tell me if

[Chorus]
You only wanted money, money
As if I had money, money
You leave the city without anybody knowing
Yesterday you were here, where are you now, dad?
You ask me, "How are you doing?", "How are you doing?", "How are you doing?"
You already know how things are going, how things are going, how things are going

Wow...

That's a very deep tale about some guy who got stripped away from social life due to have its own money counted... Fittable, somehow, to the Christmas of some.

APPROVED! NEXT!

Shape of My Artzi (Sting vs. Shlomo Artzi)

Nothing fancy this time... Just two songs that sound kinda similar :1rolleyes:
I did have to rearrange the acapella and create a new chorus so I rearranged the lyrics as well.

Lyrics translated to English (not by me :1embarassed: )

[Spoken words in the beginning]
Imagine yourselves a beautiful world

[Verse 1]
Imagine yourselves a beautiful world
Less sad than it currently is
And we are walking there
With the sun in our pockets
And above the rooftops, The stars
And the time goes by fearless
And I am going to meet her in heaven

Imagine yourselves some joy
Because it is so rare around here
A cool city in the dark
And both of us under the blanket
She caresses me and says
Whatever you wanted will happen tomorrow
And she is full of reflections of sadness and happiness

[Chorus]
Imagine yourselves a beautiful world
A city in the dark
A simple world
I can still remember her, like in a storm
Imagine yourselves some joy

[Verse 2]
Imagine yourselves a simple world
A room for a night, a house in the rain
Tree scents filled with strawberries
And both of us are drunk
"If we ever break up i'll die"
She whispers nervously
Imagine yourselves another chance of suddenly returning to youth

[Chorus]
Imagine yourselves a beautiful world
A city in the dark
A simple world
I can still remember her, like in a storm
Imagine yourselves some joy

[Verse 3]
Imagine yourselves life
Moving backwards and forward
Whatever is missing is getting filled again
Whatever once was is now here
And I look into her eyes
And lose my mind from the power within
Imagine yourselves us fulfilling all of our dreams

[Chorus]
Imagine yourselves a beautiful world
A city in the dark
A simple world
I can still remember her, like in a storm
Imagine yourselves me falling into her arms

Imagine yourselves a beautiful world
A city in the dark
A simple world
I can still remember her, like in a storm
Imagine yourselves some joy
Imagine yourselves some joy

[Repeating Verse 1]
Imagine yourselves a beautiful world
Less sad than it currently is
And we are walking there
With the sun in our pockets

And The Winner Is... (even with a tie...)

Post Mon Dec 30, 2019 6:25 pm

YES! All the contendants made an honest effort to win this...

HOWEVER!

This guy:
Image

Told me the name of the prophesized winner...

... didn't got it? It was THE TABLE!

Though all the entries had a very fair share of creativity and quality, as asked by myself, even with all the DIY, our later contendant not only made all in a simple way, but it even matched accidentally in Christmas spirit, even more because of recent events that marked my homeland's society (a former childhood friend of mine died on a motorbike accident at Christmas Eve, hence this mashup being elevated to another level of Eulogy)

So yes... FLIP THE TABLES UP IN ITS HONOR! HAIL THE IKEA EMPEROR!

(as a consolation Prize for the remaining participants, here it is: an example of how an DIY can be impressive! :1grin: )

Thanks for choosing me and for the memes GladiLord!
The consolation prize indeed sounds awesome, is it your work?

Meanwhile, I'll think of a new contest to start the decade ( :1grin: ) and post it tomorrow!

Congratulations on your victory, The Table! Your Mashoff-winning mashup has been promoted to the Front Page!

Sadly your newly-acquired empire has been very underpopulated of late. Hopefully the new year will bring the people back out of the woodwork.
