Just got a weird idea. Hope you like it either:

Mama, hier kommt die Sonne (4:48 min)

Instrumental: Rammstein – Sonne
Acapella : Genesis – Mama

I like the idea and how the acapella fits on the mental in the breaks. Gut gemacht.

But the vocal is too soft (FOR ME, on headphones), and sounds a bit to the right (so not in the middle), and is maybe mono (from the original stems?).
Maybe stereo-izing the vocal (split to L+R and delay one of them a few milliseconds) will help, if it is mono now.

Thanks for the reply
I mentioned too that the vocals of the verves are very smooth.
So I already put a lot of compression on it, put the low frequences up.
And, in addition, I reduced the stereo effect to make them sound more straight.

I think, in the refrain the vocal fit perfectly; especially the parts Phil Collins shouts!

Maybe I'll try to give the vocal in the verves even more power

Just produced version 2 with much more power on the verve vocals.

Link remained

Hope, that's better now!

Hi ! i like the idea, the chorus is ok but the verses are out of key.

I think it's quite diffical to find the right key in the verves, because the Rammstein accord itself is very unharmonically.
So I've pitched the vocal a little bit down one more time.

Hope that's better now!

Interesting idea, Hahnstudios! That Rammstein ‘mental hits really hard and it’s cool to hear the clash of styles here. I can agree with the others that the harmony isn’t quite working, though...

Sounds like the Rammstein verses are in D minor and the chorus is in B minor…that already makes this a tough hill to climb. Meanwhile “Mama” seems to be entirely in E minor, which might explain why it sort of works in the chorus (fifth apart) and not in the verse…

Not sure if there’s an easy fix here, honestly. Bringing Phil down 2 semitones during the verses and 5 during the chorus would be a bit drastic… :1undecided:

I am probably going to say a lot of what Angus said but in a slightly different way, Anyways, the vocals are barely audible I would increase the high end of the vocal maybe add a flanger effect and some additional reverb, Maybe keep the Mama Chorus and use another genesis song that's in D Minor for the verses and you should be fine. And yes the Chorus sounds fifthy cause it's E Minor and B Minor in that section but it works as Angus previously said.
