(!) CVS - Candy Enough 4 Me (50 Cent vs. Toni Braxton)

sources:
50 Cent + Olivia - Candy Shop (acapella)
Toni Braxton - He Wasn't Man Enough For Me (instrumental) A minor

As G4Gorilla pointed out below, the pella-key is not Am as I thought when I made version 1 (now deleted), but it is B major with a relative minor of G#m.

version 3 - thanks SgtMash
Softer mental, louder pella. Maybe the Elastique softens the vocal during the pitch shift?
Kept the pella up 1,00 semitone, it sounds 'high' already compared to the original. But suggestions of percentage of semitone welcome.
Some timing fixes from 4:20 (haha) (rap + vocals milliseconds earlier).

version 2 -thanks G4Gorilla
So shifting the pella up 1 semitone with zPlane's Elastique Pitch (keep formants) could do the trick to get rid of the OOK on the sung bits...
I put the mental back from 'beatmatched' to 'one shot' to get better sound-quality.
Corrected the placement of the rap + sung bits on the mental, changed the timing on my repeat edit (2,4,6 semitones lower on each repeat) @1:02.
I put a send to Omniverb VST on the three vocal channels, as there is an extra channel for all the Fiddy repeats and reactions by me and of course a separate track for The Hellers, from an obscure album that was used by Grandmaster Flash on his Adventures on the Wheels of Steel.

This music is a fantastic match for the Fiddy song. The key is wrong in the singing parts however, regardless of what MIK et al might be saying.

Finally got to fixing this one, now I found that the pella is in B major (so relative G#minor).

Might be my ears, but especially when the female vocal kicks up it sounds subtly ooky...fiddy sounds fine, but the fem voc sounds a little...flat maybe?! and the vocals are really quiet too, not popping through the instrumental - not badly quiet, but I had to put my cans on to hear them and even then I wished they had a little more punch xx

Waddup! Nice head nodder pairing tho' :)

You are the master of those hip-hop simple instrumentals. Have you done one using Gangsta's Paradise yet? I recommend this one.
