Compared to my last few mashups, the conception of this one is rather mundane. I've always had these songs on my radar, but I never connected them until recently. Both songs shouldn't need any introduction.

You should already know that I get a kick out of incorporating video game music into my mashups (e.g. "Fallin' For Kraid" and "Shadow Night"), but the opportunity to use the theme from the original Super Mario Bros. game was way too good to pass up. Bring the Spice Girls into the mix and...I'll let you decide. :1wink:

Like it. Feels like there's drums missing tho. Also the acapella seems quite forward but I'm listening on my laptop so not the best way to judge.

A fun little crumplbanger none the less.

I'm not sure the harmonies of the Spice Girls chorus and some sections match very well.
I mean it's an awesome concept but just not enough in the super mario instrumental to work well enough for me. Maybe I'm looking at it too critical considering the crazy nature of it but for a crazy mashup like this to work I think it needs more substance (think that's the right word? haha). Like if you could find a cool remix of the Super Mario's track then it might have potential to be gold but yeah, very happy you went for such a cool genre mix though :1tongue:

That's fair..."Ground Theme" is a very minimal piece.

Thanks, Firth.

There it is again! My English Problem!
But could I speak it so well like DJ Firth, then I would write it so. :1wink:
Yes, a few beats would not be bad!
Or perhaps that would be fun to let Acapella sound a bit by 8-bit Sound? So much like the Super Mario Song? Perhaps with the help of a Vocoder!? :1smiley:

I'm sorry Mr. Poirot. This track doesn't work for me.
The pre-choruses ("I tell you what I want" starting at 0:30, 1:19) are good.
But in most parts the music and the pella just doesn't go well together.

Extra kudos for the great cover art.

Funny idea, but I'm with Void that this isn't working at all. The pella is OOK at 90% of the time and it also clashes rhythmically. :1sad:
Still having a smile on my face when I'm thinking about your cover art though! :1grin:

i have problem with this concept..well...i leave the technical thing outside (sound solid too me)...
we are all here talikng about music, and that track is crumplbanger or whatever u called it..and absolutely funny...but i ask my self if its something that i can download and just hear it more few times...not sure about that...it's more joke then music...sorry, but thats just my point of view...
maybe if u add here drums or more elements it will make it more intresing....not sure if its possible

ho, and yes... the cover is hilarious :1grin:
