sources:
Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are (acapella) F major, 1 semitone lower with Elastique Pitch
Felix Jaehn + OMI - Cheerleader (instrumental) E major
Thanks for your recommend Satis5d on version 3, I put up an new version 4. I managed to pull down the masterfader along with volume of the send-reverb channel, it is now back on the normal position. Gives a bit more 'ooomph'.

top compare, older versions below

Thanks Crossability for your review on version 2.
I pulled the vocal intro to the front, this fixed the 0:16 vocal start as well.
Then I repeated part 0:32-0:36 immediately after (at 0:36).
Then I repeated part (that became) 0:44,5 - 0:54,5 a tiny bit later (at 0:56,5).
Now the structures of the songs fit better and I keep the outro from the last version.

This is a good pairing CVS and has potential – all sounds good to me in terms of key and timing.

However, structurally the vocals aren’t placed in keeping with the instrumental, for example vocal chorus with instrumental chorus and so on.

So it doesn’t flow naturally because of it. You may have to chop the vocal up to fit and place accordingly around the instrumental.

Bruno Mars comes in too late in the intro, so the ‘aahs’ need to be there straight away at 0:00, then first verse (‘oh her eyes’) needs to come in around the 0:16 mark - but then due to the earlier ‘Cheerleader’ chorus at 0:40 you will probably have to cut some verse vocals out to accommodate Bruno’s chorus vocal starting with ‘When I see your face’.

You will have to play about with this and judge it against the structure of the ‘Cheerleader’ track throughout to match it up together.

Thanks Crossability, I played with it like you said and changed the structure.
New version v4 is up in the O.P.

The overall volume is low, but it's still worthy of a recommend.

Cheers! :1smiley:

Thanks Satis5d for your recommend on version 3, I still put up a louder version 4 in the O.P.

I found that I pulled down the volume on the send-reverb channel and must have taken down the (also selected) master volume as well, it was on -8,5 dB. Those days are gone...
