Come To Uptown!

I was working on a mashup of Uptown Funk with another song, which I may share on a later date, but I realised that this was a much better fit. Forgive me for making another Come Together mashup :1tongue:

First listen, I was having too much fun to analyze critically. You always bring the heat!

On second listen, trying to find any problems ... I think maybe the Beatles are marginally behind the beat at the very beginning? ("down", "to", and "got")

Also there's too much silence at the end.

Funk Together!! Fun idea!

I don’t know if there could ever be too many Come Together mashups, or Uptown Funk mashups, honestly. I haven’t gotten tired of them yet at least...

This, and I felt like they were slightly ahead of the beat during the second verse. Also, something in the bridge isn’t quite in sync, between the drums, vocals, and Beatles stems.

From a mix standpoint, the drums get buried a lot, especially in the busier sections, and could come up a bit. Also, the Beatles guitar stems are panned wider than the rest of the track and sound a bit outside of the mix--you might try and bring those a bit closer to center.

Otherwise, it’s great fun!

Version 2 is up, as is the album art!
* drums are slightly louder and are EQd differently
* the guitar panning is way less extreme
* many small timing adjustments
* removed the excessive silence at the end

Fixed! I already had to do a lot of chopping to get the Beatles to stay on beat, but not enough. They weren't famous for their talented drummer :1tongue:

It has all “come together” much better in V2!

And that Cover Art is great fun! I almost want to mash an Abbey Road track for the sole reason that I get to photoshop someone into that crosswalk!
