Perfectly Interchangeable Murder(AFI Vs 5 Second of Summer)

Instrumental & Vocals: 5 Seconds of Summer - She Looks So Perfect | https://youtu.be/X2BYmmTI04I
Vocals: AFI - Perfect Murder | https://youtu.be/jMxU2ToSunY

Ping pong vocals wrapped around 5 Seconds of Summer. Started off with the 5 seconds stems loaded and the vocal turned off - using waveform for visual guide for a plain A + B. Accidentally played 2 vocals at same time and in places they harmonised well so I thought I'd try get a good bit of cross-over, so rather than plain A+B, we get (after some 30 seconds to Mars naming confusion):

2A + B = Interchangeable Murder...

V.1

V.2 | Modified the end section bringing AFI down in the mix / creating better interplay & adjusting timeing slightly on last phrase

V.3 | Modified the ending 2:4x onward, cut in out AFI vocal to min overlap & added lil fx to bed the cuts.

It's a definite "YES!" from me.

It's great. Coincidentally, the sun is shining here today, which is very rare ... somehow you are musically coupled to Pacific NW weather.

I really like it when a center panned vocal gels with a wide instrumental.

The vocal overlap is mostly a happy accident, but @ 2:24 it was a bit confusing ... personally I would try to put AFI vocals in the distance for that section (wide with heavy reverb/echo).

Great combo, Sgt :1rolleyes:
I agree with warezio, those overlap vocals at that part it's a bit too much :1undecided: What do you say about the above suggestion?

Sorry I missed this one. With version 2 I still agree with Smash. The overlap at the end is a to full even with the volume change. The idea is fantastic. You just have to bounce the vocals back and forth. you could use echo to smooth the transitions if you choose that route.
