Karmin - Brokenhearted [instrumental]
Lady Antebellum - Need You Now [acapella + piano]
satis5d - [synth bells]

Very curious to hear what others think about this one. :1undecided:

\o/ upbeat - runs all over your ears in headphone too - fun all round. Synth bells are a great addition, wouldn't have known they weren't part of the instrumental. Very clean/tight.

Only think I heard - and i dunno if I'm really hearing it is a slight click on 1st piano chord at 00:13 - could only hear it once headphones went on - not when through me speakers. Is there even a cut there? is like the fade in envelope could just be a tad rounded off. (I could just be over-hearing/thinking.)

After that I'm so busy bouncing along to the tune you could probably have kicked an orchestra down the stairs and I'd have missed it :p

The acapella has some noises in it that I can't seem to remove, but they are very hard to hear (Like at 0:28). I don't hear any of them in the 0:13 region, though.

probably just the attack of the 1st chord and the rather exuberant bass response of my nice sounding / terrible monitoring headphones. Can't hear it from hi fi playback xx

Not at all, it's working very well together if you're asking me :1rolleyes:

Before you'll get my vote, one clarification please, did you boost a bit the instrumental with more power or that's the source you've found? it sounds like the mental is pushed down by a limiter, and it's a bit annoying and interfere the harmony :1undecided:

I'm using the studio instrumental, but it was quite powerful, so I have the volume turned down 2.5 db. Other than that, I use a very gentle limiter on almost all of my mashups to prevent clipping, but I can't imagine that this is what you're hearing. Is there anything you want me to try to correct what you're hearing?

Version 2 is up.

Nothing major here. I just gave the instrumental a 1 db boost.

Version 2 sounds even worse :1embarassed: I preferred version 1.
If the instrumental was recorded that way, i'm not sure if it's possible to make it better :1undecided:
My initial thought was to reduce the power level a bit (not sure why you thought the other way around).

You might have noticed that I left the download link for the first version up as well. :1wink:

Edit: Version 2 has been removed.
