SgtMash - Feel Good Cannon (Gryffin & Illenium Ft. Daya Vs. Pachelbell)

Instrumental: Pachelbells Cannon in D | https://youtu.be/hOA-2hl1Vbc
Vocal: Feel Good - Gryffin & Illenium Ft. Daya | https://youtu.be/-AfjBifqK_E

Well first off please set an easier challenge next time! :1laugh: I thought this would be simple, but the organic orchestral track's wavey tempo gave me some problems, as did the volume changes.

Best piece of advice someone never gave me yet: "walk away for a day, you cannot hear jack any more" :1laugh:

2nd best - no drums ;)

Anything glaring let me know...I need to do some work on smoother volume automation sometime as I'm sure what I'm doing is not the most effective workflow as I kept over-riding my automation somehow (Ableton Live). Probably time to visit the university of Google.

V.2 - New lead only vocal src, cleaner, better dynamics (could see the waveform, not a blue block!), rebalance the volumes and EQ and removed limiters needed b4.

Nice entries so far guys, you are very creative :1cool:

I know this contest is not that trivial, but when you find a good match with those classical compositions, it sounds magical :1rolleyes:

There's plenty of time to join in, as I mentioned before, voting will begin on the 23rd (or the 24th the latest).

Hope to see more entries :1wink:

Got me that uncompressed, unmixed lead only now, working on the timing again - it is a lot cleaner - hopefully got time to sort today - if not I'll up the volume on the instrumental on this mix & re-up xx ty

Done - see V.2 above ^^
