satis5d: Teenage Paradise Hurts Everytime (Katy Perry vs. John Mellencamp vs. Ferry Corsten vs. Lustral)

Katy Perry - Teenage Dream [instrumental]
Ferry Corsten feat. Haris - Back To Paradise [acapella]
John Mellencamp - Hurts So Good [acapella]
Lustral - Everytime [acapella]

A combination of a handful of songs that I've been wanting to mash. :1smiley:

Lovely combo, satis5d :1rolleyes: sounds like an original to me!!
I have to put a question mark on 3 places at 1:04, 2:07 and 3:04, those notes sounds a bit odd, maybe a bit off key, I'm not sure, calling the others to help me decide :1undecided:
Other than that it sounds great.

The notes are notes are not technically off key. Sounds like a 7th that resolves itself well and artistically. Reminds me of something Smashing Pumpkins or Cranberries would have done back in the 90's. Similar to some moments in this:

It gets my approval. :1smiley: Feels like your getting close to a noticeable time compression tearing on the vocals Satis5d but the whole song sounds great.

The only thing I would recommend is "hurts so good's" last section at the end feels a few ms early/rushed for it's duration.

Well done.

Version2 is up.

I remastered Ferry Corsten and John Mellencamp's vocal tracks (sometimes even using varispeed to pitch the vocals doesn't work as well as other methods.) I think you'll find that most, if not all, of the issues with this one have been addressed. :1cheesy:

The note @ 1:04 is working for me, but given how the next note I listed below that could be fixed, I think this one could actually sound even better also raised a few semitones (I think 2 semitones).

The note @ 2:08 (the note @ 2:07 is good) needs to be raised (sounds like 2 semitones should make it a perfect fit)

The note @ 3:04 I think is the same fix as the above two.

This track is so great and clean and fresh. If you try to work out the 3 minor issues above, it will be an instant font page from me.
I am here, and so are you. We can be together at other places, too

I appreciate the valuable feedback. Thank you all very much.
I've played around with the 3 offending "blue notes" and I've decided that I'm not going to change them. They sound the best to me as they are.
