Gavin (Reborn Identity) sent me over a new compilation that he just completed called Mashed In Plastic: The David Lynch Mashup Album. It has a very chill vibe and a story to go along with it while you listen. It's not something you'll hear at clubs but it's perfect for those nights when you come home from work and just want to get away while you relax...
Clivester from Mashup Industries has sent me a very interesting mashup compilation with a Dean Martin Theme. It includes some very respected producers/djs in the mashup scene such as Clivester, RIAA, The Who Boys, KrazyBen, Ben Double M, Plichard, Dj Schmolli, Copycat and our very own Qubic.
Sebwax and Overdub bring us a fantastic compilation consisting of "cover" songs. On most compilations, I tend to only enjoy one or two songs out of the whole lot. Well, this isn't one of those since at least half of the songs are worth listening to more than once. Great job fellas !
mARKYbOY has compiled all of his Motown themed mashes into one album called "Motown Mashed ". Very good stuff as always from Marky even though most of these you guys probably already have. The last track (#14) is a new one and worth the download.
mARKYbOY has compiled all of his Amy Winehouse mashes into one album called "Black To Back". I don't know how I missed this the first time around but better late than never (thanks for letting me know about this bud).
The Deck Brothers sent me their latest mashup album called "Mashalicious". Lots of good stuff here and I must say that it reminds me of my high school days when I would make these types of mixes using cassettes (that's right I said cassettes). Let's just say The Deck Brothers have done a way better job than I could have :)
I finally got my hands on another Marvin Gaye mixtape. This one is by Mich Boogie (who looks a lot like Moby). It's called "Brooklyn Soul" and features Marvin, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. To be honest, only two tracks are worth your time on it which you can find below.
