A very nice rocker from Mr.ThC this. The T.a.t.u vocal works very well indeed especially when the chorus kicks in and there is some nice vocal interplay towards the end. Quality and production impeccable as always.

Cons:
There isn't a chance you could forget the name of the T.a.t.u song seeing as you're reminded so many times! LOL. No real cons just personally found the vocal a tad repetitive.
Is it Halloween already?! After ToToM's spooky take on GaGa, THC, better known for his multi-source mega-mixes, dials the spooky up even higher with this satisfying goth/metal/experimental mash-up, transporting the crazy Lady of pop into Marylin Mansonesque territory with loud guitars, spacey vocal effects, and plenty of doom and gloom. This is a superb genre-jam that once again reveals GaGa as a much deeper artist than she claims to be.
Cons:
Although I dig the vocal effects, GaGa sometimes seems a bit too "spaced-out" in reverb to cut through the over-compressed instrumental. But I understand this to be part of the experiment, so listeners should judge for themselves whether it's a con or not. It certainly doesn't detract from mash as a whole!
Tips:
Great stuff, THC! And as far as I can tell, a real shift in approach, at least for this mash-up. Keep it up and rock on!
Great new mash from THC. Lenny Kravitz and Thelma Housten give Muse a whole new feel and direction. As you would expect from THC, it's all on the button and very well produced. Good job.
Cons:
For me, the only minor con that I would mention is the difference in reverb and echo between the Kravitz and Housten vocals. This is especially noticeable at 1:24 (and 2:30) when the Kravitz vocals kick in again. It's only a minor point and one I'm sure you know about already - could you take a little reverb off the Housten vocals to make them match together better? - Guess it really depends on the sources available and their quality. Otherwise, no probs, nice mash.
Tips:
Lay off the reverb a little - you know it's bad for you and will lead to damnation, if not rot your teeth! ;o)
First off I want to "apologize" for the late review (but really, sorry). I really like the soothing feel to this early on, especailly the echo effect of the "apologize" acapella, suits the mood perfectly. The progression is beautiful, how it starts off so soft and then slowly builds up throughout the rest of the song. I wouldn't have thought that "Genie in a Bottle" would have worked, but it definitely does, nice touch!
Cons:
Nothing really jumps out as something that has to be changed, I think you really nailed this one, and obviously the MashStix audience agrees. (That elusive 5th star is probably due to Christina haters haha)
It's good to hear an Oasis track other than "Wonderwall" being the mashup treatment. The snarl and attitude of "Rock 'n' Roll Star" make it a good match with the more punky attitude of Paramore. The pre-choruses in particular work very well.
Cons:
Although the two songs work quite well together, the vocals don't integrate into the backing as well as they could. Against the edgier, slightly grungey backing, the vocals sound a little bit too clean. This is really noticeable at the end of the track when the music dies out.
Tips:
A little more reverb and delay on Liam's voice would help him bed into the Paramore track better and give it a more authentic feel of an original song. Other than that it's a decent mashup.
You have got to hear this, this is how it should be done!! A perfectly excellent mash, perfectly atmosperic with Massive Attack's instrumental providing the perfect backdrop for perfectly haunting vocals, which interact perfectly! As the spoken words appear the whole tune raises to another level and just listening to this took me to my happy place! After the second listen I returned chilled and perfectly refreshed.
6 minutes of sheer excellence!

Multiple source mashups can either prove to be far greater than the sum of their parts or end up unfocused and way too busy. As a producer specialising in this kind of track, you do it far better than most. The Gossip works especially well here, and the way you've processed Beth Ditto's vocals fits perfectly.
Cons:
The Kings of Leon vocals feel uncomfortable here, and I think the track would be better off without them, though that would leave the track feeling rather sparse. Perhaps something else would have worked better here. Even with switching out the Kings of Leon vocal for something else, the repetitive backing just doesn't do it for me.
Tips:
I generally like most of your mashups but I don't think this is one of your strongest. As part of a longer mix set it would work OK but on its own it's just a bit bland, I'm afraid.
This new multimash from our Mashstix regular TheHomogenicChaos is an excellent one! When I looked at the sources of this one, I expected this mix to be very busy and cluttered, but I was pleasantly surprised. This mix makes perfect use of all 4 (four!) tracks and the sounds quality and production are both ace.
Cons:
Absolutely no cons - this is a great track!

I had to listen to this one a few times to really grasp it! First thing that grabbed my attention was how grungy all the vocals sound! Kinda sounds 'over compressed' in a good way! Fits it very well and gives it a very 'retro' sound.. Vocals are pretty much spot on and harmonies match well! Awesome Job!
Cons:
<Yawn> Too Long!! It took a lot for my ADD not to get the best of me! Only things I can specifically point out are ALL the vocals could be much louder! Alanis's second (upper) harmony doesn't really match key ,but after listening to it a few times, it has grown on me.. Even though the vocals 'fit' they could 'sit' in the mix with a tad bit of tweaking!
Tips:
Turn up those vocals! I like the breakbeat in the end maybe bring it in/out more often throughout the entire track to give it flavor! I can hear 'If I were a boyyyyyyy...I could live without you' or similar I've got love on my mind etc.. wordplay. Overall outstanding work! This one is def going on my ipod and I'm sure I'll be introducing it the countdown next week!!

Another fine mash from The Homogenic Chao’s. You’re production skills are up there with some of the greats, this is a great arrangement. The Ga Ga acapella fits very well with the Clocks backing, and the effects you use to blend all the different componants together has obviously been well thought out. Although one tweak is needed to really make this mash outstanding .....
Cons:
During the Gabriel & Dresden portions, there are a few out of key words, this is probably due to the original song structure.
Tips:
If you wanted (and can be bothered) you can use Melodyne (software that can alter not just the key that a track is sung in, but the different key that a word from a sentence is sung in). I won’t lie to you, it’s not the easiest bit of kit in the world to use, unless you have a very well trained ear. But this will solve (your very small problem).

Love this. A very nice chilled out mash here, perfect for summer (poor G4G). I don’t know the sources used at all, but the production is fantastic. You don’t hear many chilled out / triphop style mashes so this is a very welcome change.
Cons:
None. Great presentation as well as production. Sounds very similar to a Zero 7 inspired track. Top Marks !
Tips:
None, your clearly on top of your game. This is bound to make it in the top ten this week.

A glorious fusion of ambient sources here that meld together into 1 beautifully crafted journey. Reminiscent of the classic 'Moby' years - this Mash is an absolute treat for all ambient electronica fans. The mastering and EQ levels are also spot on, and the overall structure of your mashup is both inventive and most pleasing on the ear.
Cons:
The Bloc Party vocal has a slight bit of slowed-down-and-stretched stutter to it - nothing overly major, and I wished the ending complimented the overall ambience of the piece and faded out a bit softer in some way. Both very pedantic points though!
Tips:
No tips. You are a major player in this ever exciting world of artistic and creative mixing THC. Please, keep up the good work.

I admit that just the name Leona Lewis is enough to make me sick, but... your pairing her up with Lily Allen is stunning, it sounds as if this was an actual duet. Mashup-wise everything works perfectly (harmonies, keys, tempo, duration, volume etc.) and the production is as usual ace. Well done in adding freshness to a rather overused tune - this is a keeper for my next podcast.

You have to be kidding me!
Tips:
You need no advice from me, just fill in the ID-3 tags next time (song title, artist name, artwork). People have to know about you, so adding your name and blog URL in the MP3 is a must, too, unless you're afraid of lawsuits - in that case stay away from Metallica :-P

As a major Frankie Goes To Hollywood fan in the 80's, it's a real pleasure reviewing this catchy track. All parts fits extremely well. I especially like the Ofra Haza part. To put it simply: Brilliant mashup! If you haven't listened to it yet, please do so.

Moby's Go is a dance classic, so it's always good to hear it get an outing. The Underdog Project track is a pretty good fit here, taking Go in a more mainstream direction.
Cons:
The Underdog Project verses work better than the chorus for me. There are too many vocals in there for the backing at the moment - with a little more breathing room I think it would work better.
Tips:
Strip out some of the vocals - maybe even drop the chorus completely - and I think this could be stronger. Alternatively, an extended version might be better for the dancefloor.

Nice production, all the sources fit into the track well. Nice to see someone have a go at something with a faster tempo (although some may not like it).

I'm really not sure about the pace. There will be those that like it, but I think drum and bass has a place.
