It's not often these days that mashups really surprise me but this completely blindsided me. I was expecting some sort of hip hop or rap affair not the Eastenders theme. The idea is pure genius and I defy any British listener not to laugh when they first hear it. |

Although the vocal works beautifully over the backing track, the novelty wears off after the first minute, and by the third minute it really starts to drag. The ending is messy too - the final instrumental loop doesn't flow properly on from the beat of the audio that preceeds it. The vocal just rambles on over the end of the track too, which doesn't help. |

It's all too easy for a novelty song to outstay its welcome, especially when you're using a repetitive instrumental and rambling vocals. As it stands, this is probably about twice as long as it needs to be. Chop it right down, trimming out the most boring parts of the vocal, and fix the ending so it flows on properly and the mash will work far better. |
