Hi Paul, and welcome. This track shows some nice technique in the vocal editing department, with some above average dance remix style cut-and-paste work. The time shift you use is tolerable for the most part (IMO it works best at about the 2 minute mark), and all the vocal parts hit exactly where they should. Key and tempo matching is spot on, and the mix is tight. |

Bleeaggh! That MUSIC. It sounds like a sh*tty ringtone. It plays both Seven Nation Army and Boom Boom Pow at different points, so I have to assume you made it yourself. If you made it, I'll give you props for that (I can't make music myself), but it sounds terrible and it's unlikely to win you any fans 'round these herre parts. (...sez g4gorilla, leaning against the pianola and hocking a loogie at his spitoon...). Apart from sounding very short of ordinary, it's cheating and it doesn't qualify as a mashup. |

Sell your MIDIs to the cellphone companies, and use your otherwise well developed musical sensibilities to make mashups in the time-honoured "traditional" way. If this mashup had actually had the White Stripes music (which would have been easy enough to cut up...), I daresay it might even have been good. |
