An impressive usage of 18 diverse tracks spanned out over nearly 4 minutes. Nicely spaced out samples that flow from one to the next within this megamix quite effectively. |

A little bit too cut up maybe occasionally and a couple of 'out of key'/Non Beatmatching/too loud vocal/a bit too busy moments. It started well ~ albeit there was something odd occuring over the Prodigy Girls sample that sounded like a time stretching artifact? I'd have liked to have heard it all flow into one another entirely a bit cleaner with no breaks (whereas at 02:24 it breaks entirely). At 03:09 I felt it started to fall apart a bit with that terribly loud and clashing Radiohead vocal over MC Hammer - which I thought had some nicely stuttered repeat effects applied on that sample, but for me that intrusive vocal killed the nice work you had done to The Hammer. Then finally that Flo Rida 'Spin my head right round' sample ruined the ending with it's overall intrusiveness. It would be a much cleaner ending without it and 17 songs is still plenty. |
| Tips: |
Try to keep the mixing consistent throughout and try to restrain from using tracks within a track if it doesn't really sit well no matter *how* much you desire to use it. Listening to a couple of your other tracks they sound like you have paired 2 entire songs together and again - sound a little cluttered.
Finally ~ and great advice for all ~ restrain from releasing your tracks until you have had it listened to - and listened to repeatedly - by a friend, THEN go back to it and adjust it accordingly. |
