This is again a great mash from a great producer, I enjoy all the reasons why you are a "big name" in the scene; the audio quality, the harmony, the track time and the elements are perfectly synchronized. This is a nice tune which is perfect for the warm up time in a club. what can I say, this keep your name intact, congratulations mate !!!
Cons:
The reason I said this track is perfect for the warm up time in a club is because, I think your mash could be more powerful. Maybe a multi source mash but, hey!! It’s only a producers feedback - the quality of your work is perfect. I have no cons for you my friend :)
Tips:
None
Marc Johnce - Dj Submitted - Added 07/18/09 Say It Cruel
(Booty Luv vs. Ace Of Base)
A different approach from Marc here. Taking an old washed out Ace Of base track, and combining it perfectly with some electro. Vocal effects are used to good effect. This track will be a good one for the dance floor.
Cons:
This one doesn’t seem that challenging for you.
Tips:
None.
Dan Mei and Marc Johnce Dj Submitted - Added 07/11/09 Land Of Stupid
(Pet Shop Boys vs. Genesis)
It's great to see new collaborations in mashup land - especially when it's one between two well known DJs like Dan Mei and Marc Johnce. Of course I don't know how this tune came together, but you guys created one outstanding mashup! The Pet Shop Boys and Genesis songs have a very similar feel and blend seamlessly. Including some PSB vocals in the chorus works very well too. Also the production and sound quality are spot on!
Cons:
It's all over too soon. ;) Nah, but really - this is just excellent.
Tips:
I can't give you any tips... but I think you guys have proved with this collaboration that working together on a mix can really pay off!
Dan Mei and Marc Johnce Dj Submitted - Added 07/03/09 Did You See Me Moving Along
(Pet Shop Boys vs. All American Rejects
vs. The Bloodhound Gang)
Top marks on mashing these magnificent tunes, they work perfectly well together. I wasn't familiar with the All American Rejects tune but glad I am now. The whole Bootrospective compilation is amazing...very well done indeed to all involved.
Cons:
Not a single one, you guys are smoking at the moment. Keep up producing fantastic tracks like this one for us. You're a match made in heaven.
Tips:
None, got any for me ;)
Dan Mei and Marc Johnce Dj Submitted - Added 07/02/09 Don't Stop The Way It Used To Be
(Pet Shop Boys vs. Rihanna)
Sound quality wise this is great, I like the way you alternate between The Pet Shop Boys & Rihannas vocals. For me this is one of the best tracks from Bootrospective: A Tribute To The Pet Shop Boys.
Cons:
There is no cons. It's very well presented.
Tips:
None for DMF. But for the aspiring mashup artist: You should listen to this, it’s a good example of cutting up a vocal. There is a whole section here that has been omitted from Rihannas track. I suspect (because I’ve tried it myself) this was because it just didn’t work with the backing source track. Just because an acapella includes every line the vocalist sings, you don’t need to include everything in your mash.

Dj Submitted - Added 06/26/09 Weapon Of Mista Boo
(Fatboy Slim vs. Destiny's Child vs.
Del Tha Funkee Homosapien)
This is a nice & smooth yet danceable mix with great harmonies & production and the "Mr. Dobalina" samples are the icing on the cake. But, hey, weren't you supposed to wait a week after the release of the fantastic Summer Booty compilation (which this is a part of) before
releasing your own contribution as a solo track?
Cons:
This is solid, but personally I've had enough of Fatboy Slim mashes for a while, esp. of "Weapon", which everyone and his brother/sister has mashed already.
Tips:
Nothing technical, you know what you're doing. You could maybe do with being more adventurous in your mash-ups, but as regards compilation contributions: follow the rules!

(The Killers vs. Usher vs. Nelly Furtado)
A high-energy summer dance vibe, a mix of bona fide pop hits, perfect song structure & duration, and impeccable key-matching & production by a Mashstix DJ super-group: What's not to like? This is a surefire hit for sure!
Cons:
I will never listen to this again since my headphones and speakers are now clogged with bubblegum.
Tips:
Remember those great 80s hits? The ones we still listen to? The reason we do is because of that little twisted "something" that made them more than just pop. Please find it!

Dj Submitted - Added 06/08/09 Feeling For Luxurious Love
(Black Eyed Peas vs. Gwen Stefani vs.
Jason Hates Jazz)
Another winner from Marc here, nice to see you making a dance track. The Jason Hates Jazz pella is unique, I really like it. It adds another dimension to the track. Marc’s mastering is an excellent example of how to master a track.
Cons:
The only slight moan I can have is I’m not a fan of Gwen. Her voice reminds me of a nagging girlfriend (sorry ladies), but this is a personal moan.
Tips:
Erm ........ Don’t swim after eating, they say it’s very dangerous !

Dj Submitted - Added 05/15/09 Bulletproof Paranoid
(La Roux vs. Garbage)
I love garbage!... well, the band that is. ;) This tune gives a fresh take on their classic 'Paranoid', which is great! Also the production is very good - it all sounds excellent when played out loud.
Cons:
In the first half of the chorus, there are a few out of key moments. So when Miss Manson starts to sing "I think I'm paranoid..." it goes awry for a bit. ;)
Tips:
You could try to repitch the first half of the chorus to fit the backing track better, although that can be a bit tough. No further tips, Marc - you did very well.

Dj Submitted - Added 04/21/09 Your 22 Love
(Lime vs. Lily Allen)
The tracks used in a mashup go a long way to determining how good it will be. Use crappy, forgettable tracks and it's hard to make something outstanding. Use a big, brash and downright fantastic track like Lime's "Your Love" (never heard it before, but boy is it good) and you're already off to a great start. The Lily Allen vocal fits beautifully with the backing, making a great danceable track.
Cons:
The volume of the Lily Allen vocal could perhaps be a tiny touch louder but that's really just nitpicking. It works damn well just as it is.
Tips:
Keeping banging out tracks as irrepressible as this one, and you'll not go wrong.
Dan Mei and Marc Johnce Dj Submitted - Added 04/07/09 Chasing Cars That Way
(Snow Patrol Vs Backstreet Boys)
I applaud the fact that you're not to cool to mash up the Backstreet Boys. The second round of applause is for doing such a good job of it. The two tracks fit each other very well indeed and it rocks up the Boys nicely.
Cons:
I'd say this was about 95% perfect just as it is. The ending is a tiny bit clunky compared to the majority of the track - I would have stuck with just the Backstreet Boys vocals here.
Tips:
As much as we like you to keep bringing us great tracks every five minutes, don't burn yourselves out too quickly!
Dan Mei and Marc Johnce Dj Submitted - Added 03/31/09 Sweet Pink Killers
(Pink vs. The Killers vs. Gwen Stefani
vs. Fergie vs. Fedde Le Grande)
POP-TASTIC !!! The vocals of Pink, Fergie & The Killers fit perfectly, over the top of the Pink track - its as if they are all in one big concert. This track is every inch as good as the last release from DMF (thats two out of two!). This track has a very different feel from the first DMF release, but its just as good. For those of you that don't know Marc is from Germany, whilst Dan is from Denmark - Its amazing this track was even produced, let alone at such high quality.
Cons:
There are no cons to this. Your collaborations are truly inspiring !
Tips:
None for DMF - But for Mashstix readers / listeners, my tip is to find out more about how this track was made by reader our exclusive interview with Marc Johnce & Dan Mei at <here>
Dan Mei and Marc Johnce Dj Submitted - Added 03/22/09 My Life On The Crazy Train Sucks
(Kelly Clarkson vs. Pink vs.
Ozzy Osbourne vs. Daft Punk)
Outstanding. This is the best mash i've heard in 2009 - This track is going to be very, very big. The vocals used compliment each other perfectly. The chorus with Pink was a great idea. The backing track has been added to, (i think) to create something special. The mastering is also very, very good. I also like the idea of DMF (Danish German Mashup Forces), perhaps there's more to come from your combined efforts ?
Cons:
Did I not say "this is the best mashup i've heard in 2009"? There are no cons! This is going to be played everywhere from XFM, to the online radio stations to the Bootie Parties.
Tips:
Combine more often, individually your great mash up producers - but now you've combined and produced this, you both have shown that 2 x great producers equal = one great mash. Can't wait for the next DMF release !!!

Dj Submitted - Added 03/02/09 Spaceman Shake It
(Metro Station vs. The Killers)
Great matching and impeccable production as always. If I didn't know better (and to be honest, I didn't at first - I had to preview the sources), I'd say this was an original track. So on a technical level, it's a perfect mix! It also aptly illustrates the interchangeability of mainstream pop. Plus, I like the cover art.
Cons:
Personally, I find both sources to be bland throwaways and don't think/feel the mash-up transcends the sum of its parts (though I'm glad you stuck the Killers vocal over the M.S. 'mental and not vice versa). So on a musical level, it's not something I would listen to again, but I'm sure many people will!
Tips:
Technically, I have nothing to suggest. You're clearly on top of your game. Yet, musically, I'd be very interested to hear what you'd do with more adventurous sources and/or genre juxtapositions - something you've so far only hinted at in selected productions. Why not?

What an incredible smooth flawless production...ear candy for sure! One of the best songs from the 'Cafe Del Mash' compilation. Kudos on the cover art too!
Cons:
None that I can come of...

Marc, just keep 'em coming!
