Watch Full Video Mashup Here ! Barcelona's own AV artists: O.A.U! bring us a fun and interesting Video Mashup experiment featuring 28 tracks in 1. I can see why that Ukelele kids voice was in your dreams as this must of taken a long time to make. Nice Job fellas
You keep me on my toes, just when I think I have your genre type pinned down you change ! I wasn’t expecting to like this if I am honest, I thought I’ll do what I always do and review the production rather than the track. But I do. A lot. You must have stretched the arse out of The Fugee’s to make this one work. My favourite bit is when Miss Hill actually uses her great voice at 1:49. Really good pairing and very well thought out T.
Cons:
There’s nothing wrong with this at all.
Tips:
No tips for you mate !

(Muse vs. Birdman ft. Chogyam
Trungpa Rinpoche)
Two versions for the price of one - great idea, hit two markets at once. I gotta say I like both versions but the rapless one really does it for me. You can tell you've put some work into the ripped acapella - sounds really, really fine. The whole trippy vibe to this piece works extremely well.
Cons:
I expected it to burst into something a little livelier mid-way thru' (although it does step up towards the end, 2:30) but thats just my preference, it doesn't detract from what is a fantastic mash.
Tips:
None, definately SOTW material! **Note By Paul Stix: Travis, this is absolutely fantastic! Just love weird stuff like this. Everything from Chogyam to the way you played around with pella effects is 5 star.

(Michael and Janet Jackson vs.
Public Enemy vs. Buffalo Springfield)
DJ Not-I - a well known figure in mashup land. His tunes are ace and his production work depicted by originality and quality. This is also the case with this here tune. He managed to find a very aromatic (exotic if you will) blend of sources. It's very nice to hear Michael and Janet singing over this classic Buffalo Springfield tune. Everything is in key, and beats are well matched. Good work!
Cons:
MJ & JJ's vocals are a bit too quiet and looping the Springfield tune just gets a *tad* repetitive after a while, sorry...
Tips:
As said above, you could up the vocals just by half a dB or so. To counteract the repetitiveness of the backing track, you could throw in a pause or an a capella moment. It could also be an idea to use the Buffalo Springfield chorus a bit sooner in the mix. Apart from all this, I enjoyed the hell out of this one! Keep up the great work. **Mashup Has Been Re-worked Based On Review

(The Commodores vs. Queens Of
The Stone Age)
As expected from you - a flawless production (technically).
Cons:
I know that you and me couldn't be more different when it comes to music genres. While I am the more commercial/dance oriented guy, your tunes are always highly sophisticated. so maybe I'm the wrong one to review your tracks, but since I got this to review I have to say that I honestly dunno what to do with it. The 3/4 doesn't do the commodores any good. Of course, key and time fit but I don't think that the combo fits in general. I like the idea of rock vs. soul - but not the way you brought these two together.
Tips:
Honestly - I don't wanna give you any tips as for what you do, you've been doing it for years and your'e doing great without me telling you how...it would be like the freemasons giving iron maiden tips on how to produce their stuff...I hope you do take my review in a positive way cause I do respect your work - it's just too far from what I do - genre-wise speaking.

(Jason Fox vs. Justin Timberlake vs.
Average White Band)
Absolutely blinding Mashup this, which makes great use of the classic Scottish Funksters Instrumental - producing a dirty cool American jazz vibe when coupled with Timberlake and Fox. Brilliant structuring of both acapellas interplaying with one another with perfect quality in both sources, and second to none equalising and mastering that is synonymous with a DJ not I tune.
Cons:
None to my ever pedantic eardrums, which in itself is a con - as I now can't write a further 47 paragraphs. :(
Tips:
Keep on doing what you do best T! **Note By Paul Stix: Christian, you'z a funny guy! Travis, It's a shame that there aren't more of these beauties around the scene....... but that makes you very unique, and I know you love hearing that, ha. Well done bud!

(Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang Clan vs.
Kool and The Gang)
Mr Not I using the Wu Tang Clan ??? I love the Kool & The gang track here, It gives the whole track a very edgy feel. For me, this is totally different to your usual stuff. I like it alot.
Cons:
There is nothing wrong with this mash, even if you don’t like rap normally, you would probably like this one.
Tips:
er ........... Don’t wear speedo’s, they make you look silly !!

(The Cult vs. Justice)
Excellent production and such a great pairing. I know that music wise we have very different tastes - For example, I hate the queens of the stone age - but with this tune you made me enjoy them :)
Cons:
just one thing...an extra minute wouldn't have hurt - it's too short :)
Tips:
You know your business...

(Tracy Thorn vs. Blink 182
vs. Robot Redford)
For the style, it's very cool (even though you will definately get varied opinions on this, considering the track style). You have got a very interesting backing tune that has some nice instrument work in it and that adds to the feel of this song. Blink 182 are always great to hear in a mash as they don't get enough matching tracks with their vocals so that is another plus. Your work is noticed in this and you have done a cool job.
Cons:
Only main con for me personally is that there isn't really any melody stylings in this track. While I know it's in a DnB style, these stylings still need to happen in a song for it to hit me in a great way. DnB music is great, but DnB music with a melody is even greater.
Tips:
I would find some more songs that you can grab some nice riff and filler cuts from and blend them in to the backing music to give more of a full feel than just the drums with an occasional bit of treble tune. This DnB would work great with some lower-end EQ'd guitar stings & chords blended in to the tune along some other outside sources too.

(Faith No More vs.
Queens Of The Stone Age)
A funky little tune with a smart retro feel with Donald Fagan's 'New Frontier' instrumental. Lilly's superb, dry vocals sit very well with the 'mental and Donald's intermitent vocal appearance is very welcome. Nice to hear a different Lily vocal.
Cons:
None really, a fun tune with great lyrics!
Tips:
What can I say, I can't usually fault any of your tunes - keep spinning 'em baby!

(Tears For Fears vs. Dead Or Alive
ft. Crookers And Michael Jackson)
Smooth and excellent blend of two eighties classics rounded off with some extra ingredients. Personally, I thought it will be hard to top your "Sisters of Mercy" mash, but this is brilliant!
Cons:
For my personal taste the sound needs some eq-ing to boost the bass.
Tips:
None, just give this eighties jewel some spins mate.
