Grab It, Burn It, Play It For FREE! Our super smash video mashup god BORIS B brings us a 48 minute none stop party cd featuring some of our favorite Stixers like... MMM, Gara Gara, LeedDM101, Schmolli, Bynar and Eddie Pedalo.
This is an exceptionally well prodcued piece of work, and all I expect from CJR. It starts off with quite an ethereal feel and quickly draws you into the tune. The vocals work and interact really well along wih the timing, pitch etc. The people who don't know the source tracks will think this is one original piece of work.
Cons:
Although this is not my favourite genre I was drawn into this tune and found it highly listenable (especially through the earcans!) - deffo a keeper for me.
Tips:
You know your gravy matey - top tune!

(Pet Shop Boys vs. Michael Jackson)
Ha, first I thought this was going to be another inevitable MJ tribute mash-up, then I heard the sirens and ECG at the beginning, re-read the title and thought there was some very dark and snarky humor at work here. Then I read the disclaimer - wow, talk about prescient! As
for the mash itself, it's really quite enjoyable and subtle (it grows on one) and is an excellent example of classic 80's juxtaposition. I like the way the song builds up and how the snare kicks in at Michael's second verse but is not obviously present until the refrain. And I love the intriguing harmonies, which render one of MJ's last great songs as a rather tragic lament. Great work!
Cons:
Apart from the unintentionally sick humor, this is what it is: a classic 80s A+B with no cons except (to my ears) the slightly awkward first "Shaamons".
Tips:
This is a wonderful example of 80s pop at its best, with all its twists and subtleties. Yet I could well imagine a modern dance remix with contemporary beats and sub-bass to augment the dated 80s drums - and there might be some DJs to do it right here! **Note By Paul Stix: Christian, congrats on being the 1000th mashup posted on Mashstix!! and for getting this track featured in Londons prime time newspaper, The Guardian!!

(Linkin Park Vs Suzanne Vega)
You've done an excellent job fusing together totally different musical styles to create something that stands surprisingly well on its own. Bonus points for choosing a different Rick Astley track too - Never Gonna Give You Up has been well and truly covered now. Superb artwork too.
Cons:
The vocals do sound a little harsh over the lightweight pop backing. Turning down the volume a smidge might help.
Tips:
Genre clashes like this one are what I really love about the mashup scene, and if this is what you're coming up already I'm sure you'll have some really interesting tracks for us in the future.

Firstly, it's refreshing to hear a dance track here. Secondly great mash! Interesting use of the Justin Timberlake track. This could easily be an official remix. To coin one of mARKYbOY's phrase's its a launch yourself around the dancefloor' type tune.
Cons:
No video! - Only joking. There are no downsides it's a hands in air, sweat a lot mash up !
Tips:
None, its good to see you hear. Lets have some more !
